•    Επιστολή Αρ.15 του Robert Ainslie (Κωνσταντινούπολη, 17 Ιουλίου 1779) προς τον The Right Honorable Lord Viscount Weymouth με την οποία τον ενημερώνει μεταξύ άλλων πως αν και η Πύλη συνεχίζει να κρατά κρυφή την Συνθήκη του Αϊναλή Καβάκ, ο ίδιος έμαθε από τον Ρώσο πρεσβευτή πως στην ουσία επαναβεβαιώθηκαν οι όροι της Συνθήκης Ειρήνης του Κιουτσούκ Καϊναρτζή και απλώς επεξηγήθηκαν ορισμένοι όροι που αφορούσαν στην ανεξαρτησία της Κριμαίας και στο μέγεθος και στον αριθμό των σκαφών που θα είχε η Ρωσία για να ασκεί το εμπόριό της στην Μαύρη Θάλασσα. Όπως σημειώνει ο Ainslie ο Ρώσος πρεσβευτής τον διαβεβαίωσε απόλυτα και στον λόγο της τιμής του πως καμμία παραχώρηση δεν έγινε προς όφελος της Γαλλίας και πως το δικαίωμα στην ναυσιπλοΐα της Μαύρης Θάλασσας διατηρήθηκε μόνο για τους υπηκόους της Πύλης και της Ρωσίας.
Συγκεκριμένα ο Ainslie γράφει:
The Porte continues to observe and to recommend the strictest secrecy on the late Convention. The Russian Envoy has given me the strongest assurances that the Treaty of Cainargie is maintained in every article; the same as if it had been repeated Word for Word, and that nothing more has now been agreed upon than an explanation of some expressions differently understood by the contracting parties, in regard to the independence of the Tartars, and to the size and force of the ships to be employed by Russia in the trade carried on in the Black Sea. […]
The Envoy repeatedly assuring me upon his honor that no cession whatever has been made in favor of France and that the navigation in the Black Sea is reserved to the subjects of this Empire, and to those of Russia. […]
