Abstract:

The Right Honbl. Lord Grenville
His Majesty’s principal Secretary
of State for Foreign Affairs
Whitehall
London

My Lord,

I have formerly noted to Your Lordship the failure of the wheat crop last season on the neighbouring dominions of Turkey from whence this, and the other Venetian Islands look for supply of their annual difficiencies. By reason of which failure and the supplies ordered from Venice not coming regularly forward this island is on the eve of experiencing the unhappy effect of want, there not being more than 5 or 6 days provision of wheat in the island.

The crop of currants in this country wears e very promising appearance.
I have the honor to be
With profound respect
My Lord
Your Lordships
Most obedient and Devoted Humble Servant
Spiridion Foresti
