Επιστολή του Φορέστη με αναφορά στο εμπόριο σιτηρών από την Οθ. Αυτοκρατορία και κυρίως από την Αλεξάνδρεια και στις εξαιρετικές τιμές που πωλείται το σιτάρι στην Γαλλία με το κέρδος να αποδίδεται στους εμπόρους των οθωμανικών σκαφών. Επίσης τονίζει την καλή σοδειά σιτηρών και στις γειτονικές με τα Επτάνησα οθωμανικές ακτές. Επίσης αναφέρεται και στο πώς διεξάγεται το εμπόριο των αγγλικών σκαφών με τα Επτάνησα, μέσω πάντα Βενετίας για να καταβληθεί ο φόρος του novissimo. Συγκεκριμένα: Your Lordship is acquainted with the measures adopted by the Senate of abolishing for five years the obligation formerly imposed in all British vessels which loaded in these Islands with currants, of proceeding first to Venice or paying an extraordinary duty of twenty shillings per migliara (about 900W English). The term is now expired and the trial having proved extremely favourable to the commerce of these islands, it is anxiously hoped and confidently expected that the Senate will confirm the suspension.
