Abstract:

Επιστολή του νέου προξένου της Βρετανίας στην Ζάκυνθο Waller Rodwell Wright (Ζάκυνθος 28 Απριλίου 1804) προς τον George Hammond one of His Majesty’s Under-Secretaries of State For Foreign Affairs με την οποία τον ενημερώνει για την νέα θέση του ως πρόξενος της Βρετανίας στο νησί, που είναι το δεύτερο σε σημασία στα Επτάνησα. Μετά από επικοινωνία του με τον Φορέστη (His Majesty’s Minister to this Republic) αποφασίστηκε ο ίδιος να μεταβεί στην Ζάκυνθο με γνώμονα την προστασία του βρετανικού εμπορίου. Επίσης ενημερώνει για τον διορισμό στην θέση των υπο-προξένων των ακόλουθων προσώπων στα νησιά του Ιονίου:
1. Island of Corfu: John Kirke Gent. – Commission executed
2. Island of Cephalonia: Signor Vettor Caridij (ready but not executed)
3. Island of Theachia: Kavo (ready but not executed)
4. Island of Cerigo: Emannuel Calvei (ready but not executed)
