Abstract:

Συγκεκριμένα ο Φορέστης γράφει: so long as they allow their shores to be made stations for hostile vessels which capture British vessels within the limits to which the territories of their Republic extend, the commander of the Kings ships must take upon themselves to protect the commerce of His Majesty’s subjects, and cannot in such cases of absolute necessity respect a neutrality which is not respected by the Enemy.
