Επιστολή (Αρ.3) του Φορέστη (Κέρκυρα 8 Γεννάρη 1805) προς τον The Right Honorable Lord Harrowby με την οποία τον ενημερώνει πως έχει απευθυνθεί στον Αλή Πασά και τον έχει ενημερώσει, πως η σύσφιξη των σχέσεών του με την Ρωσία οδηγεί σε δυσκολία διαμόρφωσης δεσμών με την Βρετανία. Συγκεκριμένα γράφει ο Φορέστης: in obedience to Your Lordship’s orders I have informed Ali Pacha how necessary it was for him to refrain from such conduct as may commit him with Russia, and by committing himself with that power prevent his forming the connection which he wishes with Great Britain, and I am certain he would make any sacrifice whatever for the completion of that most desirable of connections.
