Abstract:

Επιστολή (Αρ.10) του Φορέστη (Κέρκυρα 7 Μαρτίου 1806) προς τον The Right Honorable Lord Mulgrave His Majesty’s Principal Secretary of State for the Foreign Department με την οποία τον ενημερώνει για τις συνθήκες που οδήγησαν στην απόφαση των Ρώσων να προχωρήσουν σε κατάληψη του Bocche di Cattaro. Συγκεκριμένα ο Φορέστης γράφει:
The occupation of the Bocche di Cattaro by the Russians has appeared to me to be an event of so much consequence that I have judged it expedient to send off an extraordinary messenger to His Majesty’s Ambassador at Constantinople to inform him of the same. I judged this to be more necessary in consequence of the measures which His Excellency Mr. Arbuthnot has already taken respecting that place. I avail myself also of this opportunity to transmit advices of the same event to His Majesty’s Ambassador at St. Petersburgh.
