Abstract:

•    Επιστολή του Βρετανού πρεσβευτή στην Πύλη Sir Everard Fawkener (Κωνσταντινούπολη, 23 Μαρτίου 1741) προς τον His Grace The Duke of Newcastle Secretary of State for the Southern Department στο Λονδίνο με την οποία τον ενημερώνει μεταξύ άλλων για την άφιξη του Ρώσου πρεσβευτή στην Πύλη, στρατηγού Ρομαντσώφ [General Romanzow] και την υποδοχή του από την Πύλη, με την τελευταία να μην μπορεί να καταλήξει στον τρόπο και το είδος της υποδοχής που θα του έκανε, γεγονός που προκαλούσε την ενόχληση της Ρωσίας. Η τελευταία επιθυμούσε να έχει την ίδια μεταχείριση όπως και ο πρεσβευτής της Αυστρίας. Αναφορές κάνει κα στην παρουσία του Γάλλου πρεσβευτή στην Πύλη καθώς και σε πιθανή νέα σύγκρουση στην Περσία. Έχει ενδιαφέρον πως τους Ρώσους τους αναφέρει ως Μοσχοβίτες (Muscovites).
