Abstract:

Επιστολή (Αρ.3) του Φορέστη (Κέρκυρα 12 Γεννάρη 1807) προς τον The Right Honorable Lord Viscount Howick His Majesty’s Principal Secretary of State for the Foreign Department με την οποία τον ενημερώνει για τα όσα τον πληροφόρησε ο Μοντσενίγος σχετικά με τις στρατιωτικές επιχειρήσεις της Ρωσίας σε Δούναβη και την αναχώρηση του ρώσου πρεσβευτή Itnski από την Κωνσταντινούπολη με αγγλικό πλοίο το Canopus.
Abstract: Encloses a communication from the Russian plenipotentiary stating that the Russian army had entered Wallachia and Moldavia and occupied Chotin, Bender and Galatz, part of them were detached for the purpose of occupying Ismail. War was not declared on the 9th December at Constantinople, but was considered inevitable. The Turkish fleet would consist of 35 sail 10 of which were to form a squadron of observation at the entrance of the Black Sea, or in the roads of Bujuidire.
