Επιστολή (Αρ.24) του Φορέστη (Κέρκυρα 25 Ιουνίου 1807) προς τον The Right Honorable George Canning His Majesty’s Principal Secretary of State for the Foreign Department με την οποία τον ενημερώνει για τις επιχειρήσεις των Ρώσων στην Βοσνία και στην Ερζεγοβίνη, οι οποίες όμως απέτυχαν με σημαντικές απώλειες υλικές και έμψυχες για τους Ρώσους. Επίσης, ο Φορέστης αναφέρεται και στο σιγουρο της εκθρόνισης του Σελίμ, που αποτελούσε τον προνομιούχο συνομιλιτή και υποστηρικτή του Αλή Πασά, με τον τελευταίο να ετοιμάζεται για επίθεση σε Πάργα και Λευκάδα, και με τις δυνάμεις των Επτανησίων και των Ρώσων να φαίνονται μικρές για να αντιμετωπίσουν αυτήν την απειλή. Από την άλλη, ο Φορέστης τονίζει πως οι σχέσεις της Επτανήσου με τον Αλή Πασά μπορεί να είναι κακές, αλλά με τον Ιμπραΐμ Πασά του Βερατίου είναι πολύ καλές και μάλιστα από τις περιοχές του η Κέρκυρα τροφοδοτείται με ζώα.

What remains of the troops employed on it have returned to Cattaro, and great apprehensions are entertained even for that place. Ali Pacha continues to menace the Island of Santa Maura and the attention of the government of the Seven Islands is proactively directed towards defending it.
Ali Pacha will loose much of his influence at the Porte by the deposition of Sultan Selim. Ali has withdrawn to Prevesa, on his being summoned to join the Turkish army with his contingent of men.
